VIDEO EDITING

How do you edit video files? What software should I use? How much time does it take?

Video editing is one of the most critical aspects of creating a professional-looking video. Whether you want to create a simple video or a high-quality production, you need to master the basics of video editing.

There are several ways to edit video files. The most common way is using a computer running Windows or Mac OS X. If you don't have access to a computer, you can also download free apps from the App Store or Google Play.

If you prefer to work on your own, many different types of video editors are available for purchase. Some cost thousands of dollars, and some are only $10. You can find everything in between.

The following guide will teach you how to edit videos quickly and easily with an app called iMovie. This is a great tool that comes preloaded on every Apple device.

How to Edit Video Files – Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Download iMovie

The first thing you'll need to do is download iMovie. It's easy to get started. All you need to do is go to the App Store and search for "iMovie." Click on the icon and install it. Once installed, launch the application.

Step 2: Import Your Videos

Once you've opened iMovie, you'll be presented with a screen where you can import your media. Select your source file (e.g., DVD) and click on the "+" button. A window will pop up showing all of the media files on your hard drive. Navigate through them until you locate the video you'd like to add to your project. Drag the video into the timeline and drop it onto the playhead.

Step 3: Add Audio

Now that you've imported your video, you'll probably want to add some audio as well. To do this, select the clip and press the space bar. A menu will appear. From here, you can choose whether you would like to sync the audio with the video or leave it alone.

Step 4: Adjust Settings

After adding the video and audio, you may notice they're not aligned properly. To fix this, double-click on the clip and adjust its settings. For example, drag the slider to the left if you'd like the video to start at 0 seconds instead of 10 seconds.

Step 5: Export & Share

When you're done editing, export your video by pressing the green + button. Please choose the format you'd like to save it in and share it via email, social networks, etc.

That's it! Now you know how to edit video files.
